I'VE BEEN TAGGED.. PART 2

So yesterday, I started answering 20 questions about myself, after Deanna tagged me with these questions. Being a bit wordy, I really thought it would be better to answer these a bit at a time, so here i am back again to answer a few more of these.

6) DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL TALENTS.
This is sort of a tricky question, but guess I will try to answer .  This second photo is a photo of me, on the far left the day that I graduated from my RN program. I have been in various areas of nursing now for  44 years, and I am truly hoping that I have some talent in doing this, and it has been a career that I have truly loved.  Became a nurse practitioner 22  years ago and this has been a perfect fit for me.  I first knew that I wanted to be a nurse when I was about 10 and read Sue Barton, Student Nurse, and I never once wavered from this idea. My daughter , Heather, even bought me a copy of this book to re read as an adult.
I have also , for many years , been  a flautist, and have always loved music. At one time, thought that I would be in the symphony, but when i went back to school for my masters degree, out I came, still in the medical field.
I am also hoping, at this point , with my love of photography, that I Have at least a little bit of talent with this, as I have so much fun doing it.

 7) NAME THREE DRINKS THAT YOU DRINK REGULARLY.  I guess that would be coffee, capucinno, and expresso.  Do love my coffee, and look forward to it, especially in the morning. Not too long ago, I got a new nespresso machine, and also really enjoy expresso as a treat.
8) WHAT IS THE FIRST THING THAT YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE?  When I first meet a person, the first thing that I see is their eyes. To me, the eyes are the Window To The Soul.  If a person cannot meet my eyes, I feel very distrustful of them. I also feel after working with people for so many years, that I can nearly "read their thoughts" by looking in to their eyes, and believe it or not, I am pretty good at this.  I don't claim to have ESP, but I do seem to  really discern what a person is thinking, and their feelings about their thoughts. Probably from being around people for so many years who are often in crisis, and are very vulnerable.  I always try to "cut to the chase " with people, in order to get to the heart of things right away.

9) DO YOU HAVE ANY CURRENT WORRIES?  I am not too  much of a worrier, as I have made it through my life so far... so tend to think that things will "always work out " the way that they are meant to, and i trust my ability to "stick things out".  I guess if I did have anything of concern right now, it would be my great desire to be able to age in a manner that I "approve of".  Have worked with many older folks and have definitely seen many things that I don't want to do, or to be.   Working very hard to make sure that my aging is done, as much as possible being true to my self and my own values.
10. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HOBBY? There are quite a few things that i really enjoy! So it is a little bit hard to say exactly what my very favorite is, but can tell you a few.
I guess it  would not be too much of a surprise if i said PHOTOGRAPHY.  I have always taken alot of photos, but have just gone wild since have had my dSLR.  I love going out to take photos, of nearly anything
I also love TRAVELING. It is something that I have always enjoyed, and the older I get, the wilder my ideas have been. My husband could really give you some great examples.
Also really enjoy kayaking, and we have a mountain cabin on the river, so have had many pleasurable hours doing this.    There really are many more, but these are probably my 3 faves.
So this is probably enough about me for part two of this.  Do any of you out there think it would be fun to answer some of the questions your selves.  I think It is fun learning more about people that you meet in the blog world, however, don't want to burden anyone by making them feel that this is something that they have to do.   Let me know it you think it would be fun for you to answer these in a blogpost.
Will finish off the 20 questions in one more post in  a few days.

By THE WAY, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO LEAVE A COMMENT, AND YOU DON'T SEE A SPOT TO LEAVE A COMMENT. IF YOU WILL MOUSE OVER THE AREA JUST TO THE RIGHT  OF WHERE IT SAYS POSTED BY JEANNE, THE COMMENT SECTION WILL APPEAR.   THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR JOINING ME!

  3. How fun, I always enjoy reading more about people, and see we have many commonalities...except for maybe the kayaking...can't say that I have ever been, canoeing yes, and I failed miserably at that.

  5. A great post, I did one of these a while back as it is a very interesting exercise. At first you can't think of anything to say about yourself and then all of a sudden you are disappointed that there aren't more questions LOL!!

  9. My talent I suppose was teaching. I think I wanted to be one from the third grade on. At least by seventh grade and I too didn't waver. I suppose one might consider my venture into handmade cards and jewelry talents as well but I don't particularly think it's that hard.
I liked your answer to the three drinks. :) Mine are coffee and Pepsi.
It was fun reading your answers and I enjoyed the look back with your grad photo!

  11. I started reading today, Jeanne and realized I had missed the first two segments, so read them, too, and it is nice getting to know you a bit more. It sounds like you are a very compassionate and thoughtful person who has a lot of insight into people, and has a bit of an adventurous streak! Blogging does bring out that adventurous side and also the compassionate side, as we share in each other's lives on a daily basis. I share your pet peeves and your love of coffee and I do believe if you can't look someone in the eye, they are either a shady character or extremely shy, which shows itself right away. Your family is sweet and I love the photos, and your little pups are cute as can be. Thanks for sharing a bit about yourself with all of us! I enjoyed reading about you! xoxo

  13. How fun! I love that you play the flute. I play the clarinet and my husband is a music teacher :) We actually met in high school marching band! I got a DSLR last summer and I've been having a blast learning more about photography. There's so much to learn!
